One time I made out with a girl who had a cold sore in her nose, and caught Herpes Simplex 1.

Somehow, my nasal drip had spread the contagion along my esophagus, swelling it to a degree that I could no longer eat food. Drinking liquid was pretty painful, but I was getting by on smoothies and broth, maybe a cup a day. I got to play a lot of video games then.
Starvation Chemicals + Playstation = Trippy AF
So yeah, this goes on for like, almost two weeks. Then I go to the doctor, he says I have herpes, and I immediately get better.
And eat so much food.

Yeah, I would say that was largely a positive experience.
Btw, you probably have herpes, too.
